Logue: a personal narrative
Logue is a mobile application project created over the course of 2 months. It focuses on emotional journaling through art and meditation. As the team lead as well as the UX/UI designer, I worked on market research, user workflow, content writing, as well as creating prototypes and mock ups.

The key principles for Logue was designing a safe environment for discussing sensitive topics, empowering complete user control over their content, as well as protecting users from all content they consider harmful. Each of these principles overlap through the patterns – Inclusive, Empowering, Respectful, and Transparent – laid out in Humane by Design.

In the process of creating our ideas for Logue, we first considered our most vulnerable users, people with mental health issues. To accommodate for the vulnerable, we designed settings such as private accounts that appear with randomly assigned names, toggling comments, disabling reading of our user content, and disabling other users from accessing their content. We also changed the feature of liking/saving comics to a more anonymous and casual send appreciation feature. This appreciation is not shown to anyone besides the author and eliminates the stress behind having numbers or ratings while also protecting the user from negative judgment.
